Pipe lines in Alaska are a bad idea. We have such little land that has not been tampered with by man, and to tamper with the land in Alaska is the wrong solution. The United States is the most powerful nation and the most ingenious; we should be able to come up with other way of generating power. Not just for now but also for many years to come.

Oil is king! Our civilization runs on oil! Who gives a hoot about any of those stupid animals that aren't smart enough to get out of the way of an approaching oil slick or who let a silly litle pipeline interfere with their lives? Survival of the fittest, I say! God put us here to have dominion over all of the animals, and if they can't survive on our terms, too bad, I say!

Balanced development is key to developing the resources available AND protecting the environment.
This is not a new discussion - we had it before in the early 70's. The TransAlaska Pipeline proved that you can develop intelligently and leave a minimal footprint. With the latest technology the footprint might even be smaller now.
