We have such little land that has not been tampered with by man, and to tamper with the land in Alaska is the wrong solution. The United States is the most powerful nation and the most ingenious; we should be able to come up with other way of generating power. Not just for now but also for many years to come. IP: Logged

Who gives a hoot about any of those stupid animals that aren't smart enough to get out of the way of an approaching oil slick or who let a silly litle pipeline interfere with their lives? This is not a new discussion - we had it before in the early 70's. The TransAlaska Pipeline proved that you can develop intelligently and leave a minimal footprint.
