Calumet, one of the area's most famous horse farms.

Horses
In April when the dogwoods bloom, some of the worldÕs best equine athletes converge on the Horse Capital of the World. The spring meet at Keeneland Race Course (April 5-26) is the epicenter of the Thoroughbred-racing world, where the grandeur of the Sport of Kings is played out for 16 glorious days. Horse farm tours offer a closer look at the Thoroughbred industry and the amazing beauty of the landscape. And the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event at the Kentucky Horse Park (April 25-28) is one of the most prestigious horse trials in the world.
Tradition
Bourbon was born in the Bluegrass over 200 years ago. Local distilleries like Wild Turkey, Buffalo Trace and Labrot & Graham welcome visitors to view the centuries-old process that continues to produce this famed spirit. Labrot & Graham offers an elegant pre-race brunch on weekends during the Keeneland meeting.
