Getting Around: The best way to get around Fort Lauderdale is by car, but watch out for parking spaces around Spring Break, because they are hard to come by. Fort Lauderdale basically is flat, so an alternative might be biking or skating around town.
Busiest Time of Year: Spring Break can be party central in Fort Lauderdale, but not as much as it once was (see related story, "Where the Year-Round Tourists Are," this site). The summer months also bring plenty of tourists to bask in the sunlight on Fort Lauderdale's beautiful beaches.
Did You Know?
Fort Lauderdale, the Venice of America, has more active waterways (165 miles) than Venice, Italy (120 miles).
